Skinny dipping under the stars!

A sky full of stars......moonlight, a bottle of Jack Daniels, a jacuzzi and some good company!
These moments don't need any further explanation.

This is life <3

I'm in love!

Cheryl is always bragging 'bout how delicious her home made Macchiato is, so I gave her the chance to convince me and beat my number one......Caramel Frappuccino from Starbucks!
She's a coffee lover and let her coffee ship in from Switzerland (and hired Salome as distribution girl *lol*)

I thought that nothing could beat my beloved Frap, but OMFG.....that was HEAVEN!!!
A perfect Macchiato with a little bit of caramel.

I'm in love!!!

Coo, Coo......it's me!!!

Time for an update!

The love for my blog isn't that strong at the moment......It's springtime and that means that I'm spending more time outside. Sniffing up the smell of the flowers, enjoying the sound of the singing birdies, watching the new borns exploring life and the warmth of the sun!
It's such a blessing if you can enjoy the simple things that life has to offer........especially if you live the life I'm leading, hectic and fully packed! So, if the opportunity is there.....I'm outside!

We're on!!

I'm pretty excited, cuz I recieved the confirmation yesterday for my trip to Germany.
Me and Mike (the independent labelguy) are flying on the 14th of May to Berlin to check out the band NIL.
They're performing on a festival in Angermünde (that's a town near Berlin) on the 15th and we're having a meeting about the Dutch tour which I'm arranging for them.

Everything goes really smooth and Mike is very interested in working with me and the band.....
Let's hope this business trip is the beginning of a collaboration with Mike and I really can't wait to see NIL performing live and hang out with Hanka and the boys.

Keep you posted!!

Pink in Cologne!

The alarm went off Monday morning at 4.30am and normally I have a hard time getting up.....but not today!
I made coffee, showered, packed my stuff and jumped in the car to Shirley.
Arrived there around 6.15am and our little roadtrip to Germany began......
We arrived in Cologne around 9am and we parked the car next to the venue.
The arena was HUGE with 3 entrances, so we walked around and found Renée, Charli and Lau sitting in the sun! Only 10 people were queueing, so we joined them, settled ourselves and enjoyed the sun and Shirley's tea :)

Sabrina, Manja, Daria, Manon and MJ joined us later! A few of them partied the night before, so we were on a mission......find the STARBUCKS!!!
Me, MJ, Manja and Daria took a long walk to find the best coffee and the weather was gorgeous!
We walked by The Hyatt and there were loads of fans camping out.......waiting for miss P. to come out! I don't really like that groupie thing, but each on their own!

Cologne is a beautiful city and I really enjoyed our walk......we played tourist and had so much fun!
It was a long walk, but it was so worth it.......after months I could finally enjoy my beloved frappuccino caramel again!!!!!

We walked back to the venue and saw the busses in front of the hotel......MJ and I needed to pee very badly, so we went in to the hotel, peed and walked out to continue our walk back to the venue. That was a nice and fancy toilet haha. We arrived back there at 4pm.

I actually had fun with all the Germans......they are not THAT bad at all!
At 6pm the doors opened! And it was a really weird system......good, but weird!
We walked in slowly, ran to the stairs and we had to wait there again for 15 minutes pfff!

When we finally had a "go" we entered an empty venue......we could actually walk slowly to our spots, cuz our enterance was the first to enter, so we were pretty lucky!
The left corner, in front of the sofa.......my favorite spot again for the third time in a row, just perfect!

Raygun was hilarious again, we danced like dorks and the rest of the crowd was imaged that we knew the lyrics hehe. Pink started off at 21pm, right on time and the adrenaline was floating through my body again....who needs drugs if you can feel this natural high?

The soundtechnics did a brilliant job and her voice.....olala! Best vocal performance thus far.
She went deep into Family Portrait and she managed to make me cry.......which is a compliment!
The show was great as always and she was in a pretty good mood, joked around, laughed a lot and all the weird expressions on her face are priceless. Gotta love that woman <3

Sober, which is one of my favorite parts of the show, was breath taking again! She spins around so smoothly and singing on top of that is just not from this earth, RESPECT GIRL!!!!
At the end of the performance the crane didn't worked properly.......it was broken! Normally she waves Seb goodbye......go down with the crane and end up on stage. But that didn't worked out this time! So she had to go up again, join Seb in the triangle and wait for the stagetechnics to come with an alternative solution. The crowd was yelling, clapping, whistling.......
She sat there for at least 5 minutes 'till they pulled out a rope. She slided down as a real pro and gave "the finger" when she landed on stage.......Kudos for her attitude!!!!

The show ended around 22.50pm and I noticed that they didn't showed the video of the rehearsals.......did they stop doing that? Cuz Sal told me before that she didn't saw it in Switzerland either. Such a shame, cuz it's funny!

We said goodbye to the others after the show, grabbed something to eat at Mc Donalds and drove back to Holland. I was home around 4am......tired but satisfied!

What a perfect day! I can't wait to do it all over again next Wednesday in Dortmund.

My weekend in the woods!

The girls decided that I needed some time off and they took me to a house in the woods for my birthday!
As we all living in different cities, we drove seperate to the house and arrived at different times.
Me, Annie and Marit arrived around 16pm with a car full of food, alcohol and clothes. Jiska Petroeska and Jessica arrived an hour later.

The house was massive......3 bedrooms, 2 badrooms, a huge living room with open kitchen, a sauna and solarium. Seriously.....I could live here!
We didn't contacted each other about what to bring......so, we had food and drinks for at least a month hahaha. It was pretty hilarious to see how many shit we all brought!

We chilled the first night with drinks, yammie food and X Factor!!
A few girls wanted to shop on Saturday, but I decided to take a hike in the woods together with Jiska and Annie.....the weather was gorgeous!

After we returned from the woods me and Jiska took a sauna......and ran to the garden, naked to cool off! Sorry, no pictures available hahaha! We had soooo much fun! You should see the faces of our neighbours.......priceless moments!!!

The other girls returned around 18pm and we went out for dinner.
A super cute little restaurant in the city (can you call a church, 2 houses and a restaurant a city???)

The food was delicious and we had so much fun with a group guys (farmers) that had a bachelors party hahaha.....
Satisfied and with full belly's we returned to our little crib to chill with movies and drinks!
We watched Bedtime Stories and I drank a whole bottle of Jack and got wasted pffff.

So the party continued on the ground hahaha.......as usual!!
We woke up around noon and after breakfast we went for a hike in the woods again, came back and packed our stuff! We all decided to go back home on Sunday evening instead of leaving Monday morning. I was pretty happy about that, cuz the girls wouldn't be dissapointed if I was the only one leaving.......

I had a blast!!! A big thank you to my girls.......I love you with all my heart sweeties <3
And we do it over next year!!!

My nerdy glasses!

My new glasses arrived today and I'm totally in love with them......
What do you think.....quite nerdy huh? HAHAHA!!

Hola amigo's......

I'm back from the woods! No time for a big update, but I had a FANTASTIC time with the girls!
Pictures and stories later......In the mean time say hello to my new friend.

I'm leaving in a few hours......roadtrip to Cologne to see Pink again, so I better catch some sleep now. Good night ya'll......

Oops!

*Bend over to recieve her punishment*

Alrighty, you can kick me for being such a lazy ass!
When's the last time I updated this blog? Ehum.....
Sorry about that!

I'm having a blast with all the little things in my life.....
Life is treating me well and I'm feeling hella good lately!
Springtime is here!!! The birds are singing, the flowers are growing and the sun is shining.....Happy faces all around, as it should be :)

Okay, what's new?

Last week I finally saw AC/DC in Ahoy and they rocked my socks off! A home concert for Angus since he's been living in Holland for several years now.
Kick ass show, as I expected. Much respect for the oldies. Ahoy was on fire!
"Highway to hell" brought me right back to the Funhouse.....goosebumps all over!

At the moment I'm searching the net for travel options for a trip to the Czech Republic to visit the band NIL together with Mike.
Mike is head of a new independent record label and I convinced him to work together with me to bring NIL to Holland for a mini tour. He wants to speak with them first and see them perform live before he introduce them further in the music business. Fair enough....
Not sure about the date yet, cuz NIL is recording at the moment in the studio for their upcoming album. Probably somewhere in April/May if everything works out!
Keep you updated!

The weekend is about work and most of next week too, cuz I'm going away for a few days.
A short trip with the girls. We're staying in a cabin in the woods.
6 girls in one house.....oh my hahaha!! Cooking together, playing games and spend quality time!
From friday 'till monday, but maybe I'm going back home on Sundaynight ......not sure yet!
I can go to Cologne 30/3 to see Pink, but this trip with the girls is even more important to me and I don't wanna dissapoint them for leaving earlier. Cuz it's my birthday gift.

And besides that......I'll see her 8/4 for sure in Dortmund!

That's all fooks!
Be safe and stay happy.......

Update....

It seems like my travel schedule is changing by the minute haha....
No Stockholm gig (don't ask....)
But I added Dortmund on the 8th of April.
I'm going together with Shirley (who I met last week during the queuing) on a roadtrip to Germany and we also arranged everything for the London trip today......FUN!

Who needs money on a bankaccount if you can travel and see miss Pink instead??? Easy choice!

Friday, March 6, 2009

Yup, I'm still alive......

I didn't had time to update my blog, but I'll promise to do that soon.......and tell you all about the Pink gigs.
For now I just wanted to let you know that I'm okay......actually more than okay!
My Pink schedule is updated again.
I can add London as well since tonight, woot woot......

The 2nd of May in O2, so that means that I have 6 more shows to look forward to (London, Antwerp, Stockholm, 2 shows in Zurich and Rotterdam)

Life is treating me good HA!

2 down.....1 to go!

Goodmorning!
I've spend the whole weekend at work......32 hours in 2 days and there's still a little energy left to update my blog, hmmm I wonder why tralalalala???
The excitement is running through my body, so it's a good thing that I keep myself busy right now. Today is about sleeping, chilling and probably a good movie!
My last day off before I enter the funhouse madness..........so, Im going to enjoy it to the fullest! Tomorrow I have another nightshift and on Tuesday I have my belated birthday dinner with my family!

The weather sucks at the moment......rain, cold, boring and dark so let's keep our fingers crossed for better weather in the next couple of days!

Time to hit the sack now.......there's nothing better than sleeping in my own, warm bed!

Enjoy your day!!!!

Amsterdam!

Good morning!
No alarm this morning, thank god!!
All these freaking dayshifts are killing me....work and travel, that's basically it!
But my reward will come in 10 days....WOOT WOOT!!
3 more nightshifts to go and Im off for a week to enter the FUNHOUSE!

Speaking of Funhouse......
This saturday I went to Amsterdam after work.
I didn't made plans for saturdaynight, because I had to work early the day after.
Yahel sended me a message on fridaynight......she was in Amsterdam tomorrow and wanted to hook up for a drink!

Sounds like a good plan to me....... cuz I really could use a drink!

I really love these kind of hook ups.....no planning, just spontanious!
We would meet each other at The Dam and I was planning to show her some hotspots in Amsterdam. No tourist stuff, but the real deal!

Yahel brought a friend we had fun right from the start!
I wanted to show them my favorite bar, "Wynand Focking"
If you don't know where the place is, you can't find it.......it's hidden between buildings.
It's a small, local bar where they serve special drinks, with special flavours.

Apple pie, cookies....you name it!
People are always impressed if I take them to this place! It's typical Dutch......

I ordered apple pie for the girls and cookies for myself!
You get a small glass, filled to the top......and you need to sip it, without holding the glass!
40% pure alcohol!
Yahel really loved the apple pie flavour and bought a bottle afterwards!
After a few drinks we went to an Italian restaurant to eat something!
We talked, laughed and had a great time.
The pizza was good, not that special tho.......and we decided to grab some coffee in the coffeeshop!
The Green House!
Every tourist knows The Bulldog, but If you really wanna experience the real local dish and the atmosphere.....you need to know the hotspots!
The Green House is the place where all the famous rockstars come to hang out.
The guys from Live (ofcourse hehe) Foo Fighters, Ozzy Osborn, Red Hot Chili Peppers, etc. are hanging out here when they're in Amsterdam.

Im not a regular weed smoker anymore, but every now and then I like the feeling of being high......
So, we bought some local dish and laughed, laughed and laughed!
Yahel really wanted to buy some seeds, so she can grow her own weed on her balkony in Paris!
I took them to the best seed shop and she bought her seeds....All happy!!!
Yahel wanted to show me a bar, but we ended up being lost in the streets of Amsterdam haha!
I was talking and talking and all of a sudden Yahel asked me something, but I misunderstood her completly. She was asking "when are the shops closing" with her cute France accent and for some weird reason I thought she was saying "when's your ship cruising" and I was like WTF, I'm here by train....it's not like every Dutchie has his own ship, just because we have the canals" and seriously.....we couldn't stop laughing. Hilarious shit hahaha!!
Anyways, the girls walked me back to the trainstation and we said goodbye!
I couldn't stay to party with them unfortunately, but I recommended Paradiso.......so Im pretty curious if they found it!

What a fun night, I can't wait to party again in 10 days!!!

My second home......

I thought it would be nice to tell you something about my work and show you some pictures of my working spots

Let's do Leiden first, since I spend there a lot of time (mostly nightshifts) lately!

I work at 3 different locations in the South-West of Holland and Leiden is the most interesting place to work! This medical centre is specialized in transplantations (bone marrow, heart, liver and kidney) and has a special neonatology unit. So most of my work is for little newborns from nearly 1000 gram or very sick patients who wait for a new organ.

Besides my work for this hospital I work for the military bloodbank, umbilical cord bloodbank (reseach about stem cells) and Europdonor.

My office in Leiden:

I work 8 hour shifts at daytime (8am - 16.30pm) and 16 hours at night (15.30pm - 8.00am) Every bloodunit goes through my hands before it goes to the patient and I'm the coördinator and responsible for the delivery. I guide the whole process, inform and negotiate with doctors/other bloodbanks in and outside Holland (sometimes you can't match a donor and you need to search for matching blood outside Holland)

I work during my shifts with medical drivers and co-workers who prepare the bloodsupplies before it's ready for transfusion. And it's often a matter of life and dead, so we need to act quick!

My shifts are pretty hectic and busy, but every now and then I can rest for a few hours.
I have my own bedroom/bathroom at work! It's like a hotelroom.....I don't have to come out if it's quiet hahaha!
It has a tv, dvd-player, fridge and microwave!

Bedroom:

Bathroom:

It's a special job, cuz there are only 20 persons working like this in Holland!
I get a lot of satisfaction and I learn new things every day, which is challenging and it keeps me sharp.....

I think this will give you a good impression of my job in Leiden.....any questions? just ask!!

Sushi!

I'm having a killing week, so I didn't had time to update my blog!
Me and Cheryl had our birthday dinner this Monday at our favorite sushi bar in Rotterdam

We both had to work that day and the weather was terrible......rain, windy, cold and trafficjam!
I made a reservation at 19.30pm and we were just in time pfff.
Chilling with chopsticks.....perfect!

Cheryl was in such a rush that she forgot my birthday present hahaha, so typical Cheryl!
But she's going to make it up with a dinner at her house......
I gave her a travel dairy and delicious bottle of red wine!
We talked about traveling, made new plans and we had a nice and quiet dinner together <3>

Let's see if my Swedish girls love it as much as I do, cuz we're planning to eat here again on the 25th of february, before the Pink madness kicks off........

Happy birthday to me......

Cheers my friends......

I've unbottled the champagne, as I do every year as a tradition!
34 years ago I entered this beautiful life and I'm enjoying it ever since.......
Some people asked me what my wishes are and really.....I don't have anything to wish for at the moment!

I'm happy, blessed with the best friends ever and I'm healthy.

Didn't I look innocent and cute as a baby?

Pre-birthday party!

Excuse moi for being a bit drunk my friends!
Today I invited a few friends for a pre-birthday party at my house.
Booze, presents, music and enjoying each others company.

I really don't care about my birthday, it's just aging. But I take any opportunity to celebrate LIFE!
I have so much precious and special people around me and I'm blessed to recieve so much love.

The party started off at 2 pm and Mirella thought it was fun to decorate me and my house.

My friendship with Mirella is special. We grew up together and been through a lot.
She's back in my life for almost a year now, after a separation for a few years (long story) but our friendship is really back on track and it's based on respect and honesty.......and humor!

The guitar is popular and it's fun to see that I inspired my friends to play again.
Philip didn't played the guitar for almost 5 years and decided to pick it up again.....he even bought a new guitar! That's the spirit......

It was fun!

Tomorrow I have to work and in the evening I'm seeing Cheryl to eat in one of my favorite restaurants....SUSHI!
I'm really not a birthday person, I really don't like the standard birthday thingie (sitting with god knows how many people in my house and serving all evening) so I'm doing my own thing!
I invited my family for a dinner in two weeks and my real party would be in 1,5 month. A present from my girls. They arranged a house for the weekend and we're going to party there for 3 days....perfect!

Time to fill my glass again....it's already empty!
